Summer is here and the monsoons gearing up! I was inspired to make this fun summer card from an Artisan Design Team member from SU! last month. Using the simplest die you can create a wow card. This card is a Slimline measuring 8.5 by 3.5. I used a 1/4 mat using white on white cardstock. The base card is colored in a rainbow of colors using direct to paper with a blending brush. Being from Az I am in love with anything cactus! And this "Flowering Cactus" medley of product do not disappoint! Love! For class this week we are cutting the image out from the DSP and creating a focal point on this bi-folding card. Where the two layers overlap I snuck in a super thin magnet so the card secretly closes! The left side is about 2 1/2 inches wide and the right is about the same. This is my Christmas card for September. Locally I teach a class every week and on the 3rd Thursday we have been making a Holiday card. Have you ever had an image that just did not quite fit within your die? Well...Have I got a tip for you! Fussy cut the part of the image that does not fit. In this case it is the branch...Then pull that part of the image up and over the back side of the die. Opposite of the cutting side. Place your die over your image and run it through your die machine. The end result is amazing!! Happy Stamping! Have you ever tried to color in a rubber stamp with your makers? I love this technique but it is tricky to get a great stamped image this way. Well, you have to watch my video on how to do it using your Stamparatus!! By using your stamparatus you get to lay the color down on paper one color at a time! I was inspired by an European Designer to come up with my own version of this bowed frame. The card is engineered to lie flat and then by inserting a tap the frame will bow out for a cute 3D effect. Make it a clear window or picture frame or attach your focal image to the fame and...
I love this set! As soon as I saw this Etch-sketch idea I had to copy it. To make it look more realistic I put a layer of window sheet over the image. The image is stamped in black on basic grey paper. Put all that under a red frame and two fun foam circles and there you have it!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog to see my version of the Bendi Card. I just love the Birthday DSP we have this year. After trying 3 different versions of the flap with the candles I came up with this one...Perfect! I used the Painters Tape trick. Believe it or not us just take a piece of Painters Tape and rub it on an ink pad and then press it on to your paper. Pull up the tape and...Presto! You have instant shadow stamps. Hope you like my card!

Here is a photo of this weeks class card. The card is a new fold called "Swing-Out Flip" It's a new look for a basic card. For class this week I put that new fold with an old technique! Polished Stone...it uses reinkers, alcohol and a metallic element for a marbled look with beautiful sheen. You must come check out class this week.
