Here is a super simple layout for all of you dealing with the first week back to College! My daughter and I both are dealing with it. Wish us Luck! When you want to make a simple card remember a few trick to create a fresh new look on an old layout. I know all of us have used this layout but try corner rounding two opposite corners. I followed that through on my card, Mat and Focal layer. I used scraps to name the focal layer and die cut out the feather and backed with a piece of card-stock. ...

Card Map #003 Layout

August 11, 2014
For this weeks layout be creative with the Focal Image. Use a die cut to get a fun shape to work with and then pick stamp or in my case I cut out a shape and filled in the area from behind. At the last minute I got the idea to actually stamp a feather in white stazon on a window sheet and let the paint swatch show through. Beautiful effect!

Card Map #003 Sample!

I just love the new "Four Feathers" stamp set and matching Die! Check out this weeks creative layout! Pay close attention to the detail on the feather in the die cut out...The variegate colors are from a paint swatch. I trick I will be teaching in my August 26th Class on Basic "Fun"damentals! I also recolored the background paper with some ink and a brayer...
